Pumalín Park has a system of park guards without uniforms who also administer farmlands adjacent to the lands inside the Nature Sanctuary. These small productive farms have eco-tourism activities, graze livestock, produce organic fruits and vegetables and serve also as park stations for their area, offering information and help to park visitors. With this system we hope to create a balance between conservation and production at the local level.
